This is a 54 page download that focuses on the building of fine and visual motor skills as students learn to write the letters of the alphabet.
Beginning to use a pencil and starting to write letters follows a developmental sequence that makes it fun and simple for young children to learn. At such a young age, their brain and hands can only form strokes and letters that are age appropriate.
Therefore, you will notice that instead of starting with the letter A and ending with the letter Z, this book skips around to teach the simpler letters first, while leaving the more complicated letters for the end.
The letters will be laid out in a developmentally appropriate way so that your little ones will learn with ease and excitement.
The progression starts with straight lines, then moves to curved, and then diagonal lines. You’ll notice that upper and lowercase letters may be split up as they use different strokes
The progression for students to learn letters is as follows:
LINES: l, L, E,F, I, i, H, T, t
CURVES: D, P, p, R, B, C, G, O, o, Q, U, u, J, j, S, s, c, a, d, g, q, r, b, n, m
DIAGONALS: N, M, V, v, W, w, K, k, A, X, x, Y, y, Z, z
